Students who have received letter grades in at least 65 units 50 units for transfer students are eligible to graduate with honors. The top 2 percent of the combined full- and part-time class is designated summa cum laude. The next 3 percent is magna cum laude and the next 5 percent, cum laude. The School of Law is a member of the Order of the Coif, a nationally recognized legal honor society.

In a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, an individual with regular income works out a plan to pay back his or her debts over a period of time, usually three to five years, depending on income. Chapter 13 bankruptcies may be preferable to other forms of bankruptcy because they allow debtors to keep their homes, stop foreclosure proceedings, and reschedule other secured debts. The debtor must meet with an approved credit counseling agency before filing and cannot have had a bankruptcy petition denied for failing to appear in court or to comply with court orders during the previous days.
